Job Description
Responsibilities: - Assist plumbers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems - Carry and set up tools and equipment for plumbers - Dig trenches and excavate areas for plumbing work - Cut, thread, and bend pipes to required specifications - Assist in the assembly of pipe sections, fittings, and fixtures - Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and gluing pipes - Clean work areas and maintain a safe and organized workspace - Follow instructions from plumbers and work collaboratively as part of a team Skills: - Familiarity with power tools used in plumbing work - Basic knowledge of plumbing principles and techniques - Ability to assist with field service calls and repairs - Maintenance Person skills for general maintenance tasks - Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus - Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations - Ability to follow schematics and blueprints for plumbing installations - Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks - Willingness to learn and build skills in construction plumbing Note: This position does not require formal certification or licensing as a plumber. However, previous experience or training in plumbing or a related field is preferred. The primary role of a plumber's helper is to assist plumbers with their tasks.
