Job Summary
We’re looking for a motivated Transportation Account Assistant to support a local Insurance Commercial Lines team in Chattanooga, TN. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced office setting, values teamwork, and takes pride in delivering great service to clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist Account Managers with servicing new and renewal business.
- Handle client calls, policy changes, endorsements, and documentation.
- Prepare quotes for in-house or producer accounts.
- Review and process incoming mail, email, and downloads.
- Follow up on late notices, cancellations, and policy renewals.
- Maintain expiration lists and client records in the Agency Management System.
- Scan, attach, and update electronic files to ensure accuracy.
- Provide support to team members and step in where needed.
- Follow industry regulations and company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; accurate typing and data entry skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well with a team.
- Positive attitude, dependable, and able to manage confidential information.
- Open to learning and adapting to new processes.
- Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Routine office activities (sitting, standing, bending); occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Frequent computer use and handling of documents.
- Occasional travel for training or meetings.
