Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer Assistant. This position is ideal for individuals with some engineering experience or recent graduates eager to start their career. The Engineer Assistant will work closely with the lead engineer on various projects, providing essential support to ensure projects success.
The Engineer Assistant will assist our engineering team in the planning, development, and execution of projects. This role involves assisting with technical tasks, research, documentation, and coordination to guarantee projects are completed efficiently and accurately.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: Starting at $20 per hour, (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:-Assist the lead engineer with project planning, execution, and documentation.
-Utilize Solidworks software for modeling, design, and drafting tasks.
-Conduct research and gather data to support engineering projects.
-Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documents.
-Participate in project meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
-Perform administrative tasks related to project management.
-Ensure compliance with company and industry standards and safety regulations.
-Assist in the design, development, and testing of products, systems, or structures.
-Prepare and update technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and reports. Perform basic calculations and analysis.
-Maintain and organize engineering files, records, and samples.
-Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, in addition to other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:-Associate degree or higher in Engineering - or equivalent experience. Candidates recently graduated will also be considered.
-Exposure to or experience with Solidworks software (and/or experience with any CAD software) is highly desirable.
-3D printing and additive manufacturing experience.
-Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices.
-Strong organizational and administrative skills.
-Previous experience in an engineering support role is a plus.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
-Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
-Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
