Location: Crossville, TN

Work Status: On-site | Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Label Machine Operator to join a local vinegar manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have prior machine operation experience and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. This role includes the operation and monitoring of labeling machines, performing changeovers, assisting with the dumping station, and backing up production line workers when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, monitor, and optimize labeling equipment per shift and during changeovers.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and make minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Ensure accurate application and coding of labels, bottles, and cases for each SKU.
- Perform operational checks and document results following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OSHA standards, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct routine quality checks to verify labeling accuracy and product specifications.
- Package changeovers as required by production schedules.
- Return unused labels to proper storage at the end of the shift.
- Assist the dumping station and maintain accurate production records.
- Complete production logs and related documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area, adhering to all safety and food quality rules including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Serve as backup for Production Worker I and II positions as needed.
- Follow all verbal and written instructions and collaborate with the production team to meet daily goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or bottling environment preferred.
- Basic computer and math skills; ability to input data and navigate production software.
- Ability to use hand tools, weight scales, and thermometers.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Must be dependable, flexible, and willing to work overtime or shift changes as required.
- Comfortable working in hot or cold environments, around strong smells, dust, gases, and chemicals, with appropriate PPE.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and twisting.
- Must be able to ascend/descend steps, see, hear, speak, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- Steel toe shoes/boots required.
