The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the factory, including production areas, restrooms, break rooms, and offices. This role ensures a safe and clean environment for employees and visitors.Key Responsibilities- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in production and common areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors
- Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners
- Clean breakroom areas including counters, sinks, and appliances
- Wipe down high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and handrails
- Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures
- Report maintenance issues or supply shortages to supervisor
- May assist with light snow removal or outdoor cleanup, depending on the seasonQualifications- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience a plus
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods
- Must follow safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when requiredWork Environment- Industrial/factory setting
- May be exposed to noise, dust, or cleaning chemicals
- Position requires working around machinery and production equipment (not operating)
