Line Cook
Location: Crossville, TN
Pay: $14.00–$16.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
SmallBiz Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Line Cook for a popular local diner in Crossville. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, takes pride in preparing quality meals, and understands the importance of food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Complete daily food prep and stock preparation stations
- Operate cooking equipment including grills and fryers
- Maintain proper portion control and food presentation
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and organized
- Assist with inventory rotation and proper food storage
- Work efficiently with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
Requirements
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and attendance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
